Sandro Hernández Ortiz is a Peruvian writer, scriptwriter, and director now firmly rooted in Barcelona. It is in this vibrant city that he has fully honed his skills in audiovisual production and writing since 2015. A graduate of the University Ramon Llull - Blanquerna in 2016, he has since crafted a robust career that mirrors his profound passion for independent filmmaking, earning numerous awards and accolades. Notable among his achievements are the successful writing and direction of short films such as "Metafísica" (2018) and the award-winning "Reality Check" (2021), along with the compelling "Penumbra" (2023). Sandro has made significant contributions to various cinematic projects in Barcelona, showcasing his versatility as an editor, script supervisor, and assistant director in both academic and professional settings. His poetic journey includes the collection "cuarenTenaz" (2020), inspired by the emotional and mental landscape of the COVID-19 lockdown. This was followed by "Jirón Soledad" (2021), a work delving into more intimate and personal themes, and most recently, "Hidestra" (2023), a unique tribute to life and death, love and solitude, the magnificent and the mundane. Sandro's multifaceted talents shine through in both his cinematic and poetic endeavors, reflecting a deep commitment to capturing the profound complexities of the human experience.
